Belagavis official Govt. website still says Sambra airport is non operational
Staff managing the official website of the Belagavi District( http://belgaum.nic.in/) which has recently got a makeover does not seem to be keen on updating information regularly.
The Accessibility page mentions – Airways: Belagavi airport near sambra has been not operational. Nearest airport is Hubli airport which is about 100 Km from Belagavi. Currently 3 flights are operational from here of Spicejet to Mumbai and Bengaluru.
Since 2013 regular flights have been operational from Belagavi airport barring a couple of months for technical reasons.
There are various visitors who visit this site as it is the official website and when one reads there are no flights they do believe it.
When will we the authorities change and keep a track of the changes that occur.
We are in the race of the Smart city and this callous attitude it would make the path a lot herculean.
