Belagavi on high alert after Bird flu case in Bidar
Animal husbandry department has began collecting blood samples of the birds in different poultry farms in Belagavi district after positive case for bird flu were found in Bidar.
Blood samples of Chickens would be tested more often and on a daily basis and the sample size has also been increased. There are about 435 poultry farms in the district.
So far no positive samples for Bird flu have been found in Belagavi as per the department. The samples are sent to Bengaluru for testing.
