Tilgul jewelery for Sankranti made by Paranjapes since 1942
An intricately designed mangalsutra, a pair of bangles and a delicate nose-ring crafted out of Tilgul or halwa as it is called is a dying art but has been kept alive by the Paranjape Family who reside in Deshpande Galli and they have been making these ornaments since 1942.
This is not their bread or butter but just a passion to keep the tradition in the house going.
