Chamber gives ultimatum to widen 3rd gate to Peeranwadi road
In a strong letter cum memorandum given by the Belgaum Chambers of commerce and industries along with other associations gave an ultimatum to the DC, to widen the road from 3rd gate to Peeranwadi. If no work is commenced within 15 days the members of the association have decided to block the road along with the help of citizens from Mazagaon, Udyambag, Macche and Peeranwadi.

The work of widening is pending over a decade now and many accidents have occurred which have been fatal. Recently a school girl died on the same road after a tanker hit her bicycle. This recent incident of death of the girl has made the citizens of these areas to come together collectively and raise their voices for this long pending demand of widening of the road.
Each time the PWD has only made promises and not acted upon, hope this ultimatum serves the purpose and helps in saving precious lives.
