Holiday for schools and colleges on dec 24

Karnataka govt. has declared a holiday tomorrow(December 24) as a mark of respect to the Poet Dr.G.S.Shivarudrappa,. All Schools colleges, govt offices will be closed as a mark of respect.
All VTU Examinations scheduled on 24th December 2013 have been Postponed.
The Examinations scheduled on 24th December 2013 have been rescheduled on 4th January 2014.

Dr. G S Shivarudrappa (87) had been ailing for some time and the end came this afternoon, his family said. He is survived by wife, two sons and a daughter. He was a recipient of the Central Sahitya Akademi award, Karnataka Sahitya Academy award, besides others including the Soviet Land Nehru award.
