Abhay Patil MLA Belagavi South today held a follow-up meeting with the authorities for the 1st waterborne public transport in Belagavi.
The MLA held the meeting with the irrigation department today and discussions were held on how the 3Km stretch of Nagzhari Nala will be utilized as a source for water public transport using boats.
This was the dream project proposed by MLA even in his last tenure.
- 3Km stretch of Nagzhari Nala
- Nityanand Nagar, Godsewadi, Chougulewadi, Ayodhya Nagar, SV Colony, Shanti Colony, Maratha Colony, Jakkeri Honda, Shastri Nagar, Kapileshwar Colony, Mahadwar road.
This will be initially implemented as a pilot project, if this project completes in the stipulated time, then it will the first project in Karnataka for water transport in City limits.
The water transport will connect the residents of Nityanand Nagar, Godsewadi, Chougulewadi, Ayodhya Nagar, SV Colony, Shanti Colony, Maratha Colony, Jakkeri Honda, Shastri Nagar, Kapileshwar Colony, Mahadwar road.
