Request to connect with IT professionals who are from Belagavi and NK

It is a common sight to see well-educated Engineering folks from tier-2 cities like Belagavi making a beeline to Bengaluru or Pune or Mumbai or Hyderabad as a destination for their career.

While the lack of opportunities in their native places was the main reason. Other compelling factors included access to multiple opportunities, bigger paycheque, and being in the metro always outweighed lesser goodies that small towns had to offer.

For the experienced professionals, they had reasons like kids’ education, connectivity, access to good medical facilities as the reasons not to return from metros.

IT folks

The experienced lot even sighted the reasons like how their employers(workplace) demands their physical presence, how the job function demands teams to be under one roof etc as main reasons to stay put in bigger cities.

Covid-19 has changed all that dramatically. The so-called ground-truth for professionals has been shattered.

I know my friends who have been working from remotest corners of the Country for the last 8-9 months. A lot of them have stayed with their parents, met old school buddies, and dined in roadside favorite joints. Their kids have almost enjoyed( and still enjoying) freedom from being locked in day-long schools. They have learned to enjoy outdoor activities (not the Mall rounds).

I feel this is a time to really think and retrospect on professional careers. Our tier-2 cities are no more the old fashioned towns of bygone years. They are really cosmo in their very little own way, e-commerce and connectivity have ensured the material needs are sufficiently taken care of.

This is the time I want to reach out to all the engineering (especially the IT) professionals from Belagavi area and even adjoining North Karnataka.

I am personally interested to connect and invite you to visit us at our office (Vayavayva Labs) at Belagavi.

See some of the cutting-edge work our team has been doing for the last 14 years. People from this office have boarded planes to similar destinations that you have done from metros like Bangalore or Mumbai.

I am hoping a chance meeting with us might rekindle your thoughts of doing something in your own town or village.

So why hesitate for a gup-shup over a cuppa of Chai? If you are interested please drop me an email at rkpatil[at]gmail[.]com or Whatsapp to 7975172199.

Request you give some details as to your name, contact number, and your profession when you write/WhatsApp to. This will allow me to connect faster.

Thanking AAB in advance as this is the only platform that came to my mind when I wanted to reach so many of you not knowing me.

In fact what best example there can be to showcase how a one-man army sitting in Belagavi can create a modern digital platform!

With no Airbus or Boeing service to IXG position 3 for Belagavi is very promising.

In October Bengaluru lead all the way with the highest passengers followed by Mangaluru, Belagavi, Hubballi and others.

Since air traffic was opened after the pandemic there has been significant growth in air traffic from Belagavi.

Now, most of the airlines have commenced their pre COVID schedules.

Class 10 student Ansh Rao makes electric car from Scrap

The recent pandemic has proved that there is no dearth to creative pursuits if one has the will and determination to excel. Unleashing the true potential is what each one of us should crave for.

A genius is in the making at KLES’ International School, Belagavi. Ansh Rao of class 10 has bowled over everyone by designing a two-seater electric car from scrap, donated by various factories and acquaintances.

Of course, the idea to design one’s own car had been toying in young Ansh’s head right since he was a little boy. This idea took wings during the lockdown within a span of just one month from June to July with the right blend of time management, resources and sponsorship.

Initially, the chassis had to be designed and Ansh with his unique craftsmanship did a brilliant job; following which he had to assemble the rest of the parts in a garage. The hunt for the garage was also a great task as the right conditions had to be sought to accomplish this one of a kind goal.It lasted two months and finally Ansh was able to procure the perfect garage which suited his needs.

The electric car designed by Ansh has remarkable features which include an inbuilt camera wherein there is simply no need of any rear view mirrors and an anti theft feature which sounds an alarm when in trouble. It takes 4-5.5 hours to charge and achieve the mileage of 30-40 km/hour. Ansh is all set to include new features amongst which the solar panels are the first additions.

It is indeed a proud moment for the school. Ansh has truly set the ball rolling for a lot of amateurs to try their hand at achieving the unachievable. Principal, Mrs. Dipti Ingley, and the staff have appreciated Ansh’s Herculean efforts and wished him success in his new venture.

Since these tests require high-end equipment that are not only expensive but also need trained manpower, these facilities are mostly limited to multi-specialty hospitals.

The Cantonment Board Hospital in Belagavi has introduced several pathology tests at affordable costs thanks to the CSR initiative of the Jaybharat Foundation Belagavi.

Speaking on the occasion of the inauguration, Shri. Jayant Humbarwadi chief guest and President, Jaybharat Foundation, Belagavi said diagnosis is the key in any treatment and many dont get the various tests done due to the costs. Small steps- journey towards green living

What about engaging them with nature, the very essence of living?
Spending 3 hours in front of a blue screen for online classes is very tiring mentally. To counter this frustration and boredom, most kids are handed over mobile phones, tablets, and play stations.

What are we doing? We are adding to the unseen trouble of addiction.
Instead, we need to involve them in simple gardening activities where hands are put to work, the sweat glands do their job, physical activity also becomes fun. All kids don’t get to join a sports club. Everybody may not have a huge garden space.

All these considerations were taken into account and an unhyped camp was designed by Amulya Boondh foundation in association with Dharani foundation. They didn’t promise any takeaways, freebies, or certificates. Self-satisfaction is the best ever certification. Things were brought not from the market, but from their own kitchen scarp like vegetable and fruit peels, seeds, jaggery, coconut shells!

What looked like a “childish ” concept to a few turned out to be a door for more learning and improvement, with more kids wanting to have this experience. Proudly, extravagant fees were charged, to create an unnecessary show. A meager Rs.50 /session of 60 minutes.

Baby steps was an attempt to introduce the concept of nature basics to kids, 5 to 15 before they jump into actual gardening. We attempted to introduce those concepts to kids which they cannot learn in schools due to the heavy syllabus. For example ” eyes of a coconut shell”. Such activities are not “extra” curricular, on the contrary, they are “the need of the hour”
Bioenzmyes, banana enzymes, onion compost tea, microgreens were accomplished through the hands of these tiny tots. Wet waste management, garden ecosystem, plastic grades and segregation, and natural substitutes for chemicals to follow.

Sadly, we discuss academic and sports achievements, but none talks about his or her child who excels in nature love!

COMPASS aims to deliver 360-degree solutions to the parliamentarians and to act as catalysts of social justice.

Most MPs find it difficult to systematically create proposals for works under their Member of Parliament Local Area Development funds (MPLADS) and ensure the completion of projects efficiently. The biggest hurdles can be getting timely financial sanctions for projects & covering the planned gram panchayats within the correct time-line. This primarily happens because of 3 reasons; limited knowledge of guidelines, poor liasoning with a nodal officer from the district & poor tracking of fund disbursement/ project implementation.

This is where COMPASS help the parliamentarians and their services range from Secretarial and Administrative Assistance, Parliamentary Assistance, Constituency Development Programme, fund-raising & partnerships, media management & public relations, project planning & delivery.
